Founded in 2024 by Patrick Zeng and Christopher Lee, we are a traveling food trailer specializing in Asian street food. We aim to elevate Asian culinary culture by blending authenticity with a modern twist.

Each skewer at Skews Mi is crafted as a tribute to classic Asian flavors, thoughtfully paired with fresh vegetables and balanced portions. We’re dedicated to bringing affordable, flavorful options to the communities we proudly serve.

Meet OUR FOUNDERS

  • Co-Founder

    Patrick's journey began in humble beginnings, growing up in the heart of New York City beneath the shadow of the Manhattan Bridge. In a compact 500 sq ft tenement apartment shared with his parents, grandparents, and older brother, he learned the value of hard work from a young age. Negotiating $3-5 chore deals with his mom—tasks like dishes and floor scrubbing—unwittingly sparked his lifelong passion for hospitality. Starting as a busboy at just 14, Patrick dove headfirst into the bustling world of hospitality. From navigating wild nights behind the bar to inadvertently causing wok fires in the kitchen, each experience added fuel to his entrepreneurial spirit. Patrick's journey is a testament to resilience, innovation, and the transformative power of hard work. 

    Patrick draws inspiration from New York City's vibrant food scene, blending it with a world of culinary experience, including formal training in Malaysia, Singapore, and a degree in Holistic Nutrition.

  • Co-Founder

    Christopher is a Korean-Chinese New Yorker with a background in fashion marketing. Christopher's got the magic touch for branding. Fresh off his success in the apparel business, he’s now channeling his savvy to help us serve up quick, wholesome meals that busy college students can't resist. His unique flair and keen eye are just what we need to spice things up.
